Perhaps a little brass cutie to hold a candle (not necessarily in the wind, LOL!)

Love his crusty patina. There are tons of little vintage elephants up for grabs on etsy. See the entire selection (at time of publication) here.
And I need to end on this note......
A wink and a nod to a certain blogger who's going to drool over this. Available here.

ReplyDeleteI loove those bells. And I dont mind the canisters too. After you peacock post..I went over to etsy..Oh man amazing stuff but really expensive too..and most of them sold out..btw how are you these days..covered in the snow? Its raining cats & dogs down here
ReplyDeleteHello brass lovers! :) I knew you'd love these, I'm so happy the vintage metals are making their way back in....yes, stainless steel and brushed nickel looks so polished, but where's the character? give me layers of patina any day!
ReplyDelete@Tanvi: That post was from the archives, and you're right most of the stuff was already sold out (good picks?) but these links are fresh+you'll find a lot of stuff is below $25 in this post. The thing with etsy is, it's mostly handmade or vintage and you're paying someone for their labor + talent or for one of a kind stuff.
I LOVED this post! I love brass too. I can see where some of my hard earned money is going to go French antique horn! I have been putting away all the change to buy the Indian auto horn from the manhattan store- now i am sorely tempted otherwise!
ReplyDeleteOh and we have similar brass door knobs back home. I should take pictures next time I'm home!
