Still not over turquoise....

I've blogged about the color turquoise earlier. Now in fall, when the world is busy painting everything orange and rust, I'm feeling the pull of turquoise again....not the soft, muted, watered-down version, but the color of royalty; think rich, lush silk....deep shimmering turquoise as only India can do. The color seems to be gaining popularity, it's springing up in many unexpected places from upscale Gramercy Park apartments to Apartment Therapy homes. And I can't stop myself from hopping back onto the turquoise bandwagon...

My dear friend Susan's latest creation:
Genius! Read all about the making of the hope chest here.

Just a hint of the color, a pinch of glamour and a little sparkle! Magic! photograph by Petrina Tinslay.

With diwali fast approaching, I have loads of little crafts that I want to work on and I'm wondering if this would be a good time to get my fix of the color!!  Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

  2. Turquoise, Red and Purple are my top fave colours. I see that you follow House of Turquoise too :) I completely agree- Susan is such a genius! Are you thinking of stitching turquoise clothes for the little hathi? I can picture that! Also mentioned P&P today on SoundHorn in conjunction with my post on Kamini...

In indian I had a turquoise color salwaar kameez which I wore to death...The only sad part about turquoise color in clothes is that it fades and bleeds soo fast...anyways I am getting carried away...lemme stop!
