Indian-design junkies, rejoice: Pool Magazine is here!!

So I just came across "Pool Magazine", based out of Pune, India!! I'm still flipping through the pages, but for all those design junkies out there, this is an excellent read! Love the layout and it screams professionalism. From what I could discern in the past ten minutes of frantic page turning, they cover several aspects of design and fashion....click on over, and if you're looking for me, I'm probably online, poring over the deets!! The fabulous Prutha is featured in the third issue, go check it out, and go check out her blog! Thanks for the heads-up Prutha!!

This is turning into another picture -heavy post..please let me know if this is too much!

Still lovin' colorful collections.

Coral accents + a neat idea to tie back those curtains. I find tasseled curtain ties so fussy and stuffy--this avtar, I could live with (I'm still not sold on the huge florals tho').

Mirrored drumstools? how glam!--not necessarily for my own space but what a nice way to add oomph to your pad!

 

Houndstooth!! don't know what it is about this stool, but the image is captivating! Very do-able (got any old skirts/jackets lying around? re-covering a stool top is a snap!...hmmm, loving this idea (you may see it implemented on my blog....)

 

Such a bold room. May be OTT but am in love with the cushion front and center!

A new online resource: Rue Magazine

The design blogosphere's buzzing about the launch of a new online magazine, put out by four blogger friends.  The premiere issue, set to debut in September, promises to take us to Inspiration Heaven. I can't Wait!

Launching in September '10. Watch this space.

 Maybe not so new (it's been around since March '10), but I just discovered it thanks to this post on i suwannee (go check out her amazing blog while you're at it).

Anyway- back to the magazine! It is loaded with absolutely gorgeous eye candy- there's fashion and art, food and of course- pages of home and garden inspiration. You can read it for free or subscribe to a print version- they do allow downloads for a small fee.

Home tours, shopping guides, beautiful pictures.....

I'll have one order of that, please! (I love anything with avocados).

iPod cases anyone?

My picks from Lonny's Jun/July issue

Once the ceramic elephant dust settled, my eyes could once again focus on all the delicious details presented in the magazine....My faves....

What woman doesn't love jewelry? And with baubles as pretty as this, I couldn't resist.

Elizabeth Bauer's studio..love the way she has used the patchwork wall hanging as a backdrop for the bamboo mirror....it almost looks like wallpaper in the picture, but on closer inspection (yes, that's what I do...I peer at stuff till my eyes pop- I'm sure you do too (don't you?)) you can see the edges near the ceiling.

Love the lamp- that's a basket, hung upside down and spray painted white. Hanging from a nautical rope. I'm shelving away that idea for future reference. :)

This one is just for its sheer simplicity. Love the stool. Absolutely love the curtains- the little pom-pom trim detail just takes them to a different level. Another idea shelved for future reference...

Ceramic garden stools may just replace my elephant fixation....... love the powder blue throw (or "loi").
