My sweets, how goes your week? Mine has been super busy as I've been running around tying up loose ends...I'm exhausted and would like nothing better than to sink into a nice cozy corner.....
I wouldn't mind lifting that lamp off the floor and settling in with a good book. Add to the picture: warm socks, a cuddly throw, an ottoman to prop those tired feet up, adrak chai and a good book. I'm currently reading this (or trying to, LOL!!--progress is S-L-O-W). What about you?

Its a nice corner- wonder why the lamp is on the floor :)? To warm you feet on, LOL! I couldn't finish Maximum City- reading The Girl who played with fire. Have a great week!

ReplyDeletethis is how i feel every noon nd nite,..
Just finished a book and was in the same state of mind :)
ReplyDeleteOh my, I LOVED 'Maximum City'...its one of my fav. non-fiction books. I really liked the style, it was like reading a blog, something sort of intimate like that...
ReplyDeleteAnd I would love to sink into that chair, it looks like it is so well-loved.
I quite liked Maximum City. But if its about Mumbai..Shantaram wins hands down. If you haven't read it do try & pick it up.
ReplyDeleteMy hubby has been hankering after just such a sofa. he wants a Chesterfield! I can see why here :)
ReplyDeleteWell, let's see:
ReplyDeleteI just shoveled a few new inches of snow (8-10 more coming Wednesday/Thursday).
Thinking about making soup.
Looking at the half-read library books next to me (bios of Mahler and Schubert, books on teaching yourself to draw, and this one--The Gilded Age, The Art of the Frame).
See my Monday To-Do List if you would like to know more.
P.S. I LOVE that leather chair.
i'm having an alright week. feeling a tad under the weather and the actual weather is dreadful, but i have cinnamon tea steeping, so i think things are turning up :)

Hmm... here is where design and practicality clash.. I looooove the corner, the effect of light on the floor.. but seems to impractical. A lovely editorial though.... do I smell the tea, pass some along!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely would remove the lamp from the floor (who puts such a beautiful lamp on the floor?!?!) and clear that clutter from the table!! The leather chair would be replaced with something more soft and warm!! Ha! Definitely not my corner then!! :P
ReplyDeleteLet me know how Maximum City was!!
Amen to the adrak chai - my soul food !!
ReplyDeleteThe colors make this corner look so cozy. Why cant we have such corners at work !! :(
Hmm...I am running like a headless chicken too.Sick of never ending chores.I m currently reading Dan Brown's Lost Symbol-he's the lucky one..I have read ALL his works-count 5 only till nw :)

ReplyDeleteI haven't read a book in ages....i'm totally swamped too...
ReplyDeleteIs that lamp on the floor or on a coffee table? Maybe it is on the floor..my hubby would kill for a chair like that! Yes, tell me how the book is, am reading Half of a Yellow Sun right now - amazinf, will be done soon.
ReplyDeleteIts surprising how a book lover like me (and him) havent read any in a while. Is life so exhausting for everyone?
